Thessalonians 5:12
“And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you,
and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;”
One of the highest callings and most demanding jobs in the entire world is to faithfully lead Christ’s Church. It is all consuming and requires a life’s work. Ministry is a great privilege but it also requires great responsibility. It is with that we want to give honor to those who have served the Lord and been faithful to their post of being a servant to the flock of the sheep in the Union United Baptist Church. We do acknowledge that the Scriptures teach us that faithful pastors (they themselves) are gifts from the Lord to the Church (Ephesians 4:11-12). Thus it is proper to honor them for their steadfastness and commitment to serving our Lord Jesus Christ.
